I think its just customary to ask the infamous 2 (which I'm always asked). Is it an 8 (i do not get asked this anymore (mods sing cam headers exhaust =V8), and is it a stick. I always say of coarse to both and get the huge thumbs up followed by great choice etc and why would someone get this car in a 6 or auto.

Now i do know for track purposes the A6 is a better choice but this is what i get fairly regularly. In fact (I almost forgot this story), a while back (4 months ago) I was leaving the gym and was about to jump onto the highway and found myself next to a younger dude in a wrx. We get on it as the light turns green and have a quick run up to 105. My exit comes up and i exit and pull into kinkos to pick up a fax and this dude pulls next to me.

We end up making small talk and he tells me how badass my car is etc, he then looks inside and see the shifter (manual), then peers at the headrest (ss stiching) and tells me oh its an ss, and he thought it was a 6.

I was not all the way on it because it was traffic and i typically dont street race in those conditions. This is why im assuming he thought mine was a 6. Needless to say my car went in for cam and bolt ons 2 weeks later lol. Btw we are good friends and he ended up moving down to Texas with me (work related).

I had a guy in a Prius at a light say to me "Compensating much?". I immediately retorted with a "No... an accurate representation." I then gave him a little smoke show as I left the light...

That was the most juvenile I've been/felt in 20+ years.

The guy was a rolling cliche though. I'm talking stupid little glasses, beard, long hair obvious baby boomer hippy wearing a Hawaiian shirt because his tie dye must have been dirty. I can only assume he had on Birkenstocks or Crocs...

This argument is stupid.
So?

Your lack of an argument is even stupider.

Someone told me V6 makes enough power, coming from a 2013 v6 camaro owner.

I respectfully disagreed with him and wholely agree with you.

About the most ignorant thing was someone at work asking if I went all out and got the high output 5.0 engine on my SS?

Parked next to a guy with a '69 at a show who scoffed at my ABM. He said I should get a real muscle car. I asked him how much HP his '69 had. "Bout 350 he said. Well then I'm not far behind with 305 HP out of a V-6 I said. That shut him up. Then to rub it in I said, I should have brought my '69 Firebird 400 4spd convertible along too.

Brought my car into the dealer for it's complimentary oil change, the delivery parts guy from napa stopped and talked to me. I got the v8 or v6 question I told him v6 and he said it's a sharp car how much hp? Told him about 323 at the crank and he said those are v8 numbers not long ago! And that my car was sharp. Then as I was leaving he came up to my window and talked to me again, asked me if this was my first car I politely told him yes sir bought it entirely myself. He then saw it was a manual and actually shook my hand for that. Lol honestly my car gets more compliments then anything else, sure every now and then a hater pops up but I just let em talk!

Wow, sorry i made you so angry.
I was just saying if you look at a lot 60's muscle cars they had power numbers comparable to today's numbers. Then emissions standards and fuel cost in the early 70's took off and most 8 cylinders made 175-250 HP. It took till 90's till you saw 8's hitting the 300+hp numbers and the mid 2000's to see 400+HP. Speaking to high number production cars not ferraris and lamborghinis. Maybe I am wong and its just my perception of reality and that the true reality is different, I will try not to be so stupid next time.
