Off-road GMPP exhaust street legal?

How do I find out if the GMPP off-road exhaust is street legal or not? What makes it street legal? Is it about sound or emission issues? I'm not very knowledgeable about this stuff so forgive me if these questions seem dumb.

I live in DC an would like to get the off-road version because I think it sounds better than the street version but I do not want something that I could get a ticket for or make me fail emissions.

Don't really know what to do hear.

Took about an hour.....so what ever an hour of labor goes for in your area... $100?

Or less if you're crafty with a tube cutter or hacksaw!

Man I wish they would've made this a cat-back. It would have made it so much easier (assuming there's some bolts that could be used...no car yet :()

Here you go, http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results...umber=92231570

It says emissions-legal.. so it must be sound. I personally like loud exhaust so this might be a good option for me.

THANKS Sir Scotty!!

Since I'm a girl (& have never done anything like this, at all - not that I couldn't, tho) & my hubby doesn't sound too interested in crawling under the car...(that is if he/we COULD get under it) not sure we could do it ourselves... but it's a thought!!

THANKS again!! You Rock!!

I seen the install. You cut the pipes in two easy to get at spots. The Track pack is not loud...but it is much better than stock! I don't know why someone would by the other version....

It is "off road" because of smog, not emmissions....so consider it "off road" in California.

And Dave just told me of an insane deal on them....Seriously, he's been blowing these out! I would call him after you get their "our price is the lowest on cam5" price Too low to publish....sorry competitors !

Do you know if there is a sound and noise level difference between the Manual and Auto with the Off-Road version?

Edit: 8/14/09 = just got off the phopne with Dave. I bought the street version without the tips to fit my GFX. Got a really nice deal!!!! Jump on it boys, truly an awesome deal!
