Yes, it doesn't increase horsepower. Insert that statement infinite times. However, a car that runs a faster 0-60 will have a lead and thus trap sooner than a car that has a slower 0-60, equal power and traction and such. And if you don't trap faster... what's happening?

Obviously I mean on average. Also not saying a massive gain, but correcting all times for DA should show at least a few tenths gain on average, right? Especially with Vitesse's own statement of "A more responsive 400hp engine will outrun (other than top speed) a less responsive yet more powerful 450hp engine on the track assuming driver skills and vehicle suspension tire adhesion etcetera being equal in the same car every time."

Just waiting for a larger sample size, honestly. I kinda want one.
Yes that would be crazy if u get the same 1/4 time from going reportedly from 6.3 to 5.3 0-60...

I'm not saying there is no change just don't feel that it's as great as reported, just my opinion. I'm guessing it's better realized for those with a manual. Some people are saying sp9 is crazy and they have to be careful, I quickly moved to sp9 and have no problems with control and I'm nowhere close to being out of control. Not trying to poo poo this thing just giving my 2 cents. And I didn't purchase looking to do burnouts just trying out as others have and feeling something different. Not sure about the 100 mile learning process cause others report feeling instantly and noticeably different. I'm on the fence

I have seen very few v8 m6 reviews of the controller. Any specific reason? I did see 1 ls3 driver who started a thread to boast about it. I'll be placing my order momentarily to at least test it out.

We've sold plenty of these to LS3 owners. Here is a review of ZYBORG who owns a 1LE

How tested and reliable is this device? Just curious, because if it ever malfunctions or stops working at the wrong time you could end up with no throttle and possibly in a heap of trouble. It sounds like a mod I'd definitely like if it's as great as everyone says. I'm just cautious with mods that take total control of important functions.

Just sent Vitesse the following email. Will post their response when I get one. Hoping my concerns with the device are unfounded and I can go ahead and get one of these without having to worry!

To Whom It May Concern,

I may be interested in purchasing one of your throttle controllers for my Camaro. However, I have a couple of questions before I do.

1. How tested and reliable is this controller? If it were to fail, would I be without any throttle? Or if it were to fail, would it do so in a passive manner and I would still have stock throttle response? I'm just cautious about modifications like this that take total control over such an important system in a vehicle. Just concerned for my safety. Also, does this product come with any type of warranty or promise of what happens if it were to fail for any reason?

2. In the directions for the throttle controller it says the following, "Please do not use the A button (Economy button) during operation as it's not supported by our cars yet." Could you please elaborate on this? Is "economy mode" a feature that you plan to add in the future? If so, what will it's purpose be? If such a feature is implemented later, will you provide updates to anyone who has the current controller so that they have the economy feature? Until that point, I assume the "A" button is just useless? What would happen if someone were to push it by mistake?

Thanks,

Matt

This has been answered a couple of times in the v6 bolt ons section of the sponsors classifieds, I asked it once myself. They claim there is fail-safes built into the device that if anything were to go wrong, it would default to SP0 mode (stock).

As for your economy mode question, I can't help you there, the instructions say don't do it, however there is a guy on here that claims it works and he is getting better gas mileage. I assume (if it did/does?) work, that it works the opposite way the (sport mode) B button works, trying to correct for people that are heavy on the throttle on take off? The guy that claims to have tried and/or is running in economy mode hasn't said anything burnt up, caught fire, or quit working. Just claims better gas mileage.

I just received mine yesterday, but I am waiting for the rain to clear up before I install and try it out.

I felt nothing at all from the vmax cnc ported throttle body so from a comparison point of view the throttle controller wins, although I'd be surprised if anyone is sensitive enough to feel a change from the tb, my opinion the tb is a theory based mod rather than a tangible one
