Yeah if you think you will get an SS then you should go 19's. However both 17 and 18 will fit the LT RS.

Without having to modify anything correct?

I will be giving you a call sometime this week to order the 17s

Rudy,

I have a 2014 SS convertible with the RS package and would like to replace the summer tires with the Yokohama IG51V 245/50/20 all around; will that work? Thanks.

Hey Rudy,

I bought some winter tires from you last season and worked great! I bought the pirelli scorpion snow and ice for my 2012 Camaro (2LT with RS package). They worked great all winter.

When I installed my all seasoned tires after a long winter here in Chicago, they weren't balancing correctly. I took it to a few places to find out that there was a spacer? or washer that came with the snow tires? It just looked like a giant washer that fit over the hub (it didn't look like a normal spacer for tires with holes). From all the torque that was applied to try to install and reinstall, it looks like they are stripped. I bought Moda wheels. I'll post a picture when I get home, but is there a specific spacer for these wheels? As soon as I took them off, my all seasons balanced fine.

Thanks again for your service, I felt very safe this past winter with the tires you recommended.

Most aftermarket wheels use hub-centric rings like the ones we installed in your wheel and tire package. It is very important to make sure they come off with the wheels. Some times they stick. If you try to now install a factory wheel this ring doesn't allow the factory wheels to seat tight against the hub causing a vibration.

Please give me a call and I will send you some new rings at no charge.

Thanks!!

Rudy

Thinking of ordering a set of 17" wheels and tires for winter. Can you get by without buying the tpms package that's about $250. I mean I know the light inside will stay on.

This thread has been really helpful. I should be calling about a set of Pirellis in a day or two.
