RS to Non RS. Is this possible.

Hey guys, I have a friend who just did an engine swap from a v6 auto to v8 manual, with RS package. Thats a whole other mess, if you interested i have a forum posted on that on my profile.

We are running into a problem with the headlights. The new V8 engine harness has the 4 pin connector which i believe is for the RS headlights, and the customer has the regular halogen headlamps with the 3 pin connector. Is there a way to plug and play the 2 connectors? I see that gen5diy has a kit for Non RS to RS headlights, but what about the other way around?

Thanks guys.

I don't know anyone who makes an RS to non-RS kit. Usually nobody wants the cheaper halogen headlights so there's not a big enough market, but if it is possible you would be best off contacting gen5diy and checking if they will make a custom harness for you.

Otherwise time for an RS headlight upgrade

Yup, & 1LE is a suspension/perf package, yet they made a whole forum section for them lol
