They are comparing the top end Vehicles that each manufacture offers.... This is fair comparison.

If you compare for Price tag.. then no. If you compare per top of the line.. then Yes.
Vehicles are classed based on price... You can't compare a 55k car to a 35k car... it's not a fair comparison... And to pick your words apart... if they were comparing the manufacturers top end models you would be looking at the Zr1 vs. Mustang... Don't get nasty

I hate fords, but they are comparing the top Mustang vs the Top Chally vs Top Camaro that are currently offered... AKA the Pony cars incase you didn't know that apparently...

Yes the GT500 costs the most which means the Camaro is the bargain buy. When comparing the top factory offered pony cars..... yes Pony cars.. this comparison is fair if you take money out of the equation like they did in this video. So the Corvette isn't actually in this class. In my Opinion the Corvette is in class with the Ford GT and the Dodge Viper.. not the pony cars.

As you missed some important info in the video, you mis-read my post... This is a fair comparison if money is not the main factor. Since most comparisons are classed by price for performance... the Camaro = better.

Does this help explain it better ?

I like seeing comparisons outside of traditional market groups. Good reading and it's nice to see how different cars perform under similar conditions. For example, I would love to see the SL55 and GT500 tested under the same conditions. Win or lose, you can't take it too personally, there is always somebody faster!

10k in upgrades and its only putting 455 at the crank?

I see your point now. The way you originally wrote it was a little off then. In terms of muscle/pony cars then, yea that's pretty much it.

I'm not too worried about the results though...it all reality it means nothing. It's not like everyone is going to be driving around racing each other on the highway for pinks.

Besides..the powerplant on the GT500 isnt more powerful -- its just supercharged. Do the same to the LS3 and you'd have the same or more HP. No a big deal. All NIIICEE vehicles no matter which way you slice it.

well i understand what they are saying. but see problem is that the camaro just came out what....... two months ago. Now the shelby has been out for how long? it just isn't fair. taking the srt8 and the ss and comparing with out a price makes sence cause they both are new models the shelby is not new. ford had many years to improve so i think they should take the first shelby made and compare it with these two new models. Agree with many people the price and quarter time is not worth it but just wait we will get a supercharged ss out next to a shelby and again claim our mountain

Here we go again. Why does ford bring the GT500 to a N/A party? Because what they have N/A is WEAK.

We all knew this comparison was coming. Because the Mustang and Dodge guys bitched about putting the GT and R/T up against the SS. (Which was comparing based on similar PRICE) And the Camaro won hands down. (although the Trak Pack GT did very well). The Challenger R/T fans bitched the loudest and wondered why the SRT8 wasn't used. (because it cost 10K MORE than a LOADED SS.)
So now that the top dogs have been lined up it gives us a fair look at what the top of the line in each offers. And what it proves is the Camaro is STILL the best buy. 10K less than the Dodge, and 15K less than the Ford. With those savings, you could easily slap on a blower and have change left over for extra tires and smoke the Shelby.
It's all relative. The Camaro makes more sense to me. Best looks, best power for the money.
