You probably need to call their insurance company and file a depreciation claim. They should cut you a check in addition to paying for the repairs. That check can then be used for mods haha.

The moving vehicle, especially a smaller lighter one, will almost always experience more damage in front/rear collisions.

The force (negative, directionally) needed to stop the vehicle combined with the force (positive, accelerating) of that car will be more detrimental than what gets absorbed by the brakes, suspension, and frame of the stationary vehicle.

The exception would be vehicles with vastly different weights or materials (plastic vs. metal guards)

why not upgrade to a 2014 rear end. Ask to pay the difference if interested.

At least you are ok. Was out at Willow with a few of the Camaro5 guys this weekend, watched a porshe rear end a Corvette on the track. Good times
