I am by all means no expert at all. Just wondering is it possible the products are old and lost there effectiveness. Maybe everthing he is doing is correct. Do these products have a shelf life. What about how the products where stored. Could a cold garage effect the polise. Just wondering.

OP, Junkman has a big ego, too big for this forum. (That's why he doesn't post here often)
Remember, we started with the 205/white pad to start from least aggressive to most. I think you have a gap here in products. The 101 is too aggressive and the 205 just isn't enough. My recommendation would be to pick up some FG400, this is a one step champion, regardless of where your paint is it should be night and day difference. I would also message Camarodreams07 and talk to him.

You don't remotely know me well enough to measure my ego or speak for it. I suggest that you stick with the thread topic.

I believe this thread speaks wonders to your ego. I stuck to the topic, I just wanted to make sure the OP knew that being bullied online because of being a novice at something isn't okay.

Tim, I would take Junkman's offer on posting a video of you doing a pass. I was literally in the same exact boat as you, I screwed up by starting with m105 and orange pad and caused more damage than I actually had. I ended up taking my car to a pro to fix my mistakes, namely because one of my biggest issues was not having a garage to work in. Its very frustrating because it looks easy on video, but the black paint on our cars is not very forgiving.

I have 101, 105, and 205, and I have every color pad under the sun, and they are all brand new and stored in my house so temp is not an issue, and the car is in the garage. No more time tonight to mess with anything.

Tim I would take CD07's offer to help as he offered in the first page of your thread. It would be without a doubt a trip well spent.

I don't think you need to buy another polish. What you have is more than enough.

Not sure why all the hate is being directed your way, but I'd like to personally thank you for your videos. I've learned an awful lot from them!

Thanks for watching. If you don't have haters, then you're not doing it right.

Junkman's videos are extremely helpful, but you need to watch them more than once or twice. It takes a while to get a technique - you just need practice.
If you can make it to visit CD7, he knows what to do also. PS you could probably get face to face help from Junkman if you drove to him and bought him dinner! |
