Now for the fun part, modifying the LFX manifold. The adaptor is way off as far as the ports go, my cylinder heads are gasket matched. Also going to see if there are any burs on the inside that can be smoothed out to ease the flow of air into the engine.

Also some kind of air stabilizer at the throttle body, going to remove that.

Definitely a lot of power being loss from where the surfaces don't line up perfectly. The runners are the worse, there is a huge ledge on each runner that is disrupting the airflow. Working on smoothing these areas out but it is an 1/8th of an inch of material to remove, very time consuming.

Don't think I will do the oil filler again, too much boost and methanol will destroy it.

It's been a while since I looked, but I think stock the gasket on the bottom looks like it's quite a bit closer to "matching" than the stock LLT intake.

Different intake parent material calls for different filler material than the LLT intake. It may very well do just fine as using similar materials the expansion rates will be similar.

BTW Jason, I took the rear bolt off that you sent me and put it against my LLT manifold, it is the same length as the 4 main bolts the LLT uses. This thing is TALL!!! All LLT owners will need for this swap are the 5 bolts you sent me that are the longest, they can reuse their main bolts for the rear.

I've had people ask me how much I would charge for the kit, and never hear back from them. The part numbers are listed a page or two back and I've mentioned several times how much it would cost to buy the parts from GM.

I will sell kits to people that want them, but you can buy it slightly cheaper online from GM parts suppliers... Maybe try Becky D w/ Rodgers Chevy, she might be able to give you a swinging deal? I haven't asked her yet.

If you want to purchase everything from me, send me a pm and I will tell you how much I'll sell it all to you for.

Track is open tomorrow because the weather is nice. Going to throw my trans cooler on tonight and do my last attempt to the 12's with stock gears.

Tomorrow will also test my porting skills if I go, I removed the air whistler behind the throttle body and smoothed out the runners.
