I trusted Randy Pobst since no dealer around here had ever ordered one. The forum helped me select options, nothing but fun since!

I too had the wait from ordering. I had to wait through a Q/C hold. I ordered early March of 2013 as an early 21st birthday gift and getting hired to my current job and completing my training period. and my baby was born on 4/15 and had the biggest smile on my face on 5/22/13 when I first laid eyes on her. I was so nervous driving her because this is my 1st standard car and I never drove standard other than a few times on friends cars. Inside I was like the N64 kids but it only showed through my ear to ear grin.

Home in the drive way for the first time 5/22/13

I got lucky and found mine sitting on the showroom floor with the exact options I wanted with 14 miles on it. They had to open up the big doors to get mine out for a test drive. I was the first one to test drive it. The NPP sounded beautiful inside the showroom. I remember the clutch taking a couple shifts to get used to and that awesome sound from the exhaust, I was sold.

"Holy F***. this is going to be my car?"

I felt almost numb from being overwhelmed my dream was becoming a reality. As excited as I was, It didn't take long for some of the paranoia that Camaro drivers experience. Mainly, when it came to parking it. but after a couple of days and being more familiar with the car, that faded to worrying about getting scratches and looking out for other drivers.

Like Billy10MM, I picked up my car @ Roger's and drove all the way home without the radio on just to listen to the "symphony" pouring out from the front and the back of the car.

I went to the dealership here to check out a manual SS that was on their website. I wasn't even looking to buy, just wanted to test drive one for the fun of it since I hadn't driven a manual car in years. When I arrived , she was sitting there, our eyes met and that's all she wrote. I knew immediately I was going to buy it, took a few days to get my better half on board, but once I did it was magic. When I test drove it she had 8 miles on her, 5 days later she came home with me, 21 miles on the odometer. I am loving every minute behind the wheel.

The first time I drove it was from the dealer to my house about 7 miles away, in the pouring rain. I got home and was filthy. It was actually quite a while before I got to drive it in anger....sure liked looking at it in my garage over the winter, though.

Considering I'm only 19, I was in shock and unable to stop smiling for a good week. Still trying to wrap my head around reality it's an awesome car!

Since I sold my 2005 CTS-V to get into the 1LE, my first impression was "Damn this shifter is amazing".

My first impression was that I knew my bank account was about to get a whole lot lighter! I've wanted a 5th gen camaro soon as I seen it in Transformers. I patiently waited many years later & we they offered the 1LE package in 2013, I knew that was the car I wanted. I missed the cutoff date by a couple of days for ordering a 13 model when they started taking orders for the 14. I went on a mission to find my exact car & I was lucky enough to find a exactly what I wanted in a few states away. I hooked the trailer to the silverado & I was off to pick up my baby.

I vividly remember hearing it crank the first time. They had to move a non NPP SS out of the way and you didn't hear it at all and it was outside and the glass windows were facing the rear end. When they started up my car, my head shot toward the sound. That V8 NPP rumble came clearly through the outside glass windows. I remember how light the clutch was since it only had 10 miles on it and how much more athletic it felt from my 2010 2LT. The steering felt so tight, yet the car felt like you could easily steer it around anything with the way it is balanced. And whenever I stepped on the gas, it just purred. I was sold within the first minute of driving the car. It was challenging to negotiate the deal after the test drive because of how much I wanted this car. Almost 2 years later and I'm still completely satisfied with my purchase.

Found mine online and basically bought it over the phone the next day. That weekend took a ride and was like "mine!"
