It really sucks, and I feel your pain. Racergirl's advice is spot-on. I recently broke up, then reconciled. There is a brief post on here about it somewhere. In my case, she needed closure to get over her divorce. Now, she has turned the corner, and is emotionally free to be with me.

I let her go, and she came back and chose to be with me.

So, if I were you, I would reach out to your network of friends and family for support, push through the pain, and let things run their course. No matter what happens, everything will be OK.

Time heals all wounds.

Good Luck!!!

WTF does that even mean? How do you go from "I am so in love with you" (exact words) to "I don't know if I can ever be happy with you, and think I would be happier with someone else"

*note - there is no "someone else", he is just hypothetical at this point
From this, that's exactly what it sounds like...there's someone else. whether shes with him now, or wants to be with him. From my many years of knowledge, a huge majority of women, if they say they are happy with a man, but are not, they will stick around, until the next best thing comes around. Then they will cut ties.

Oh, and don't be shocked if she comes running back if/when the other guy doesn't work out.

This happened to me. Except the other man was actually a woman. Let's just say I was more than disappointed, lol.

That's another question to answer. I was just answering how do you get over a break up with a woman lol.

Happened to me as well and it is always just as funny as the first time.

Give it time OP. Best way to do it.

Or some hookers and Jameson AND time. Or tequila. Whichever you prefer.

This is exactly how all my relationship/flings end...... there is always someone better. Weather it be in a relationship, job applications, whatever...always someone better

Yeah that is the route I am taking with my current man. Just waiting for something better to come along, it just seems like there is nothing better out there coming along (so he must be perfect). So I guess I am stuck with this one.
