How fast is your X? ive always heard its a 'quick' car in the same way an rx-8 is quick, but not many people think of them as fast.

I guess stock in a 1/2 mile quick is about right. But in a corner it is fast. it pulls over a 1 g easily. That is why I can lap a 911 on a small track. I am a beginner driver and the porche driver is maybe new too. You can just drive evos at their limit easily. Going as fast in corners in a camaro as an evo would take a lot of mods and practice.

This was a FQ 360 it looks like, at least according to the description. They don't offer that over here..... Which actually sucks, I don't know why we don't get all the EVO trims.... But anyway, Lets see the 300HP one that we can actually buy that way from the factory and the Camaro SS go at it. I bet we would be pretty close (The SS did a 8:19 in production trim).

Mitsubishi is know for being one of the worst car companies in existance. They've almost been out of business multiple times, too bad they never went out completely. Not even Mitsubishi knows why they bother making cars, they make tons of other products from TV's to HVAC units, and their car division does the worst out of all of them. When people think about buying a "nice" car, nobody goes to a Mitsubishi dealership. Unless you're a ricer and you're buying an Evo.

The new Camaro destroys the Evo X by 10MPH in the 1/4 mile. Thats a huge difference in power, like going from a moped to a crotch rocket.

I would never consider any vehicle based off the Mitsubishi Lancer economy car platform to be anything close to a "hardcore enthusiasts car". Quite the opposite really. More like cheap performance.

A hardcore enthusiasts car would be like a Porsche 911 Turbo, Corvette Z06, Lotus Exige, Dodge Viper, ect. Not a riced up Mitsubishi Lancer.

I appreciate your input. Yes Mitsubishi is a fairly small company and has almost bit the dust before. But you should reall watch yourself when you call an evo a ricer. Evos are not ricers. apparently youve never lined up with a slightly modded evo before. Theyre fast as hell. So please come back after you line up with an evo. and refresh your statement.

Well I really doubt the Evo engineers, who have built one of the most well engineered and capable cars under 50k, sat around and wondered how to get their trap speed up.

Evos are quick little beasts and the camaro is a quick big beast....it really depends on what you want in a car....sigh
