Yes agreed.

I certainly hope the brake lights on the new model aren't any brighter than before!

One thing I have noticed on more than one occasion, are people in my rear view mirror, while at a stop light, squinting with hand over eyes sometimes, due to my brake lights. I wasn't sure whether to feel bad, or just say F off losers, lol.

I have the older model.

I blacked mine out, not because they were too bright, I just like that Stealth dark look.

The new ones are not brighter. In the picture the new series has the brake pedal depressed, the old one is just with the running lights on.

That's unfortunate that they changed it visually so much. But I still like them better than the other lights we can get for our cars.

The majority of this thread seems to be battery issues. I've had my lights (6800 series) installed for about 3 months until someone behind me told me that a couple of them where flickering out of control. Sure enough got home and looked at them. With engine running, and lights on, The right hand outboard one was flickering like crazy. The left hand outboard was a little more intermittent. Yanked them out and sent them back to technostalgia for repair. I bought another set for girlfriends Camaro for Christmas and put them on her car almost two weeks ago. Now hers are doing the same freaking thing!!!
After I re-install mine, after the supposed repair. If they screw up again I will ask for a refund. If I don't get one I will take them to the shooting range and mail them back the pieces.
On a side note, I have not had any drainage issues. And the flickering returns to normal when I kill the engine and leave the headlights on manually. It's almost as if they don't like the higher voltage of the cars running. My voltage is about 15.5 when running.

Thanks, Peter

I noticed on the video you posted that you didn't have the "rapid fire" mode turned on. Was just curious as to why you choose not to have it on. Are you selling/trading in your car?

Are these the newer version of the lights? I haven't seen the new ones. Could you post a pic of them on, really like to see them installed. Thanks. Hope you don't have any other issues. I love mine, early edition, but keep a battery tender Jr. connected just incase. I have in the past parked it for like two weeks and could see the battery was low, so now I plug it in as soon as I pull into the garage. Even if it's just for overnite. Only takes a second to connect so why not.

This video is current? After they returned/fixed??? I had the lower ring go out and had to return, no problems since. Or is this prior, seems like an easy fix for the company. The other set, girlfriends, works fine I take it. Probably just a one time fluke. Keep us posted/updated.

Did you do a "reset" on them?

Disconnect lead wire to power source, leave it disconnected for a couple of minutes for good measure, then reconnect.

Great tip! I also had a couple lights go out and they told me to, thru the back, insert a tiny screwdriver and press the contacts firmly into their seat. I did, and it fixed the problem, it was just a loose connection. He definitely should try to "reset" the girlfriends and see if that does the trick. Pain in the butt to remove, wait, then reinstall.
