Thanks for the comments guys. It's taken a while to get all the pieces in place but now that the plan is all coming together it sure is getting exciting.

Peter Gray has a problem. He is a mod addict. He needs help. He should join our group.

His second problem is I am a founding member. This car may never be done.

For those who have been following the cam issues on other engines - JusticePete and his engineering staff are very much on top of things to make sure I don't have any such problems (checking heat treat depth, finish, etc). These pics are a measure of finish quality after Arrington has polished. I believe that the numbers translate to "very very very smooth", but ask Pete for the technical definition

Also, some pics of dash going back in. Great to see reassembly starting.

Friction is the enemy. We clearance and polish to reduce friction. Friction is power loss, heat and wasted energy. We use technology in our machine work. We use NASCAR veteran Master Engine builders to hand fit virtually every part that goes in an engine. The result is a more powerful engine that is long lived.

its going to make plenty of power thats for sure, but this thing will be able to make that power all day every day. thats what these boys are working on. id take 500 ft/lb of torque and the ability to run a solid hour in 98 degree heat as hard as you can push, over, 650 hp and its hot 3 laps in like most of rhe blown cars do. there is a video of andy pilgrim getting in a fairly new ZR1 at sebring. the car was cold when he left the pits and it was dinging like a christmas toy after an easy out lap and two hard laps. that aint a track car, thats a car you can tell your friends how much hp it makes as you wax on it.
i know they upgraded the brakes but this car will probably out do the brakes after a long session.
pete, you already invested a thrid world countrys yearly income. go ahead and put a bad ass trans in there so you dont have to do it during the season next year.
