California Emissions
Just asking a quick simple question. If I want to buy a Camaro from my dealer and he finds one in California will it have different emission controls built into the car.

I think so, but I could be wrong. I buy used cars for our car lot and sometimes I end up with a California emission car and it gives us headaches sometimes with the extra emission crap! By that I mean, it has extra vacuum lines, EGR valve, etc. One time we had to replace a computer in a car and it took a specific California computer. It doesn't mean that it's a bad vehicle, sometimes just a little more money to fix it.

I looked through all the RPO(Regular Productions Option)s for the Camaro. Couldnt find any options that would differentiate a Cali destined Camaro from a Texas bound Camaro. Call GM just to be safe. You dont want a halfFAST camaro :P

All Camaros should be "50-State Emissions". I believe there's a sticker on the door that says something to the same effect. I've never heard of a separate California cert for these cars. That's kind of a thing of the past.
