My my my, lookit that. Key recall, what have we here?

I had my key recall done. Sorta.

I couldn't find my spare key, so they swapped out the key I did have. Kinda goofy but whatever, the key is not one of the reasons I like my car. It's a key.

The only thing I did (do) appreciate about the switchblade was it is compact.

So they swapped out one key. And they left the second 'recall' key in my car. Just no fob. And hey, I found my original spare switchblade key. Never even used once.

So I have three keys: a recall key and the neutered switchblade fob, a recall key with no fob at all, and a switchblade.

So what to do, what to do.

I think they should have given you another fob.

Well, what I'm wondering is- can I take out the guts of one of my two and put it in a less bulky fob? I don't care about the key and fob being separate but it's bulky now.

There's some cool fobs out there.

If someone could redesign the fobs they would make a killing, if it was done right.

I love that were using the term neutered key lol. I will have to start using it.

Will those keys operate the car without having the remote along?

lol

We've all known GM was cheap for, well... forever

The steering wheel in my '70 Buick for example- a Buick GS steering wheel. Same wheel as many '60s Corvettes, with a different center cap. Nothing new there.
