Is it better to park far away or closer to the building in a parking lot?

Not necessarily true......parked my one day out of the paint shop 72 Chevelle (black and goregous) in my apartment underground parking next to a new black Cadillac and ended up with the biggest door ding I ever got on a car. If I had ever seen that Cadillac again I would have stomped the roof in I was so pi$$ed. I can't stand careless people.

I went to a casino recently and it was kinda early so there was tons of parking, i parked way out in the lot where there was a vette parked, but I parked in the edge of a row and when i left there was a car parked next to me but the spot was big enough that i didnt get any dings thank goodness heh

Sounds like after market paging alarm systems are the way to go in this thread. To feel really secure, invest in some microscopic mounted cameras and a voice recorder.

Well it looks like nothing would have helped me, because I got keyed the other day. My dealer was able to buff most of it out, he's ordering me the touch up paint as well. Since ABM is a new color, he says it's gonna take a week and a half for it to come. :(

Don't take it to a store at all, take the beater unless your sure of safe parking

Hey man I fell you. I have had my car for about 3 months now and i don't even have 500 miles on it.When i drive my car I am so unconfortiable about parking that the only time I drive it is when I know that I will be able to keep my eye on it at all times.i think there is nothing worst then some FAT-HEAD pulling up beside my car in an empty parkinglot!!. people will say that we are a little car crazy and maybe I am but if you see my beautifuly waxed car parked by it self and some guy want to take a look at PLEASE PARK TO THE SIDE AND WALK OVER AND TAKE A LOOK!!!!!!!!!!!
