We are adding a new miniSL, which will be 2 SL ports, and these will come completely waterproof with waterproof connectors attached. This is really geared towards our new "DIY Series" line where you can order custom length light strips, and extension cables, and everything is plug and play.
Sorry Joe but I'm really dumb to all that SL ports and MiniSL stuff. I know I want the multi-color changing headlight halos and to add the DL halos later and to add maybe a grill light and some under hood light and floor board lights. I guess the V1 is the way to go. I just want the best and most up to date system that will do everything possible.

Sorry, we got a little off-topic. Headlight Halos connect to what we call HP ports (for High-Powered LEDs which are used in the headlights). Everything else runs from our SL ports (for Strip Lights). Grille, underhood, and even our DRL Halos all run from SL ports. So these are the two basic types of ports. We also have aux ports, but I won't get into that now.

Here is a quick summary of ports:
Halo Kit V1: 2 HP ports, 2 SL ports
Halo Kit V2: 2 HP ports
SL Module: 4 SL ports
miniSL Module: 2 SL ports

For what you are wanting, Halo Kit (V1) would be the way to go. This could do both headlight halos, and have 2 SL ports for DRL Halos, grille lights, underhood, etc. If you need more ports, add a miniSL or SL module. You can run multiple things on one SL port also (but they will be controlled like one light.) Separate ports lets you fine-tune the colors and some neat program effects.

You're still going to carry the LP module as well right?

I've still got a spare v1 HP module sitting around here. I'm working on some plans but just haven't gotten around to ordering what I need yet and haven't really settled down on my intent.

The installation instructions are in a 45-minute long video and included on a DVD in the kit. We show you every step of the way.
