I'm done with there surveys. I filled out three surveys for my pick up telling them how displeased I am with it over a period of year and never got a call or email. Why waste your time if nothing will be done. wake up customer service and stop saying "that's normal"

Man I have the exact same issue with my 2012 SS. Any where from 65-70 mph the steering wheel starts to vibrate, and it gradually gets a little worse as my speed increases. As soon as I let off the gas the vibration stops, even if I'm above 70mph. I've taken it to 3 different shops and nobody can figure it out. I've been told the motor mounts are fine, the cv axles are fine, the u joint is fine... Driveline looks fine... If you find out anything let me know! This is extremely frustrating.

I think that road feel tendency amplifies any small vibration that might be present in the car. Mine is going to be largely parked until Spring now so I won't be doing anything about it til it comes out full time. Its almost as if the steering wheel needs more damping from the car itself. Cam |

I think the real issue is that it is related to throttle input which to me means a drivetrain vibration (driveshaft, axle shafts, motor mounts etc.). I'm suspecting it could even be torque converter related.
While that issue has been an issue on V6's& not V8's it doesn't mean it can't occur. I know they test for that by locking off the torque converter though that problem seems to manifest at lower speeds around 45-50 mph so I could be way off. I'm convinced it is not a wheel balance or alignment issue however. Cam |

By now I am sure you have resolved this problem in some way.But I have had the same problem with my '10 SS LS3 .I found out my problem was a BOLT.On the Universal Joint Bearing and Flange. My local Chevy dealer had no idea that these bolts are a one time use bolt only.I went under and one of the bolts were sheared off and I just pulled it right out. Tourque is at 85 FTLBS on the "hex bolt"There are 3 hex and 3 torx
I think the Torx are 65 FTLBS http://www.tonkinonlineparts.com/sho...rimLevel=26613 |
