I will let you know, I work walking distance from VOA! Right on Ham-Mason... well now I guess its Liberty Way...

I love the West Chester - Liberty Township battle.

Liberty Way my ass. Hamilton Mason FTW.

It's been Hamilton Mason for years. YEARS. There's no point in renaming it.

I don't have any travel plans, so I wouldn't mind bringing some charcoal, hot dogs, and burgers.

My 11 yo would love to play in a park. could it be in a pet friendly park? how will I get the dog in the back without him scratching the upolstry? mmmmm

Wish we had our car so we could join you. Hubby works most weekends which makes it hard to plan anything. Maybe next year we can join you all.

Well, there isn't exactly a playset or anything, it's more of a walking trail around a massive lake with a boathouse. Plenty of room for dogs though.

OK I checked it out. It is PERFECT. There is a little picnic area with tables and a grill right next to the parking lot. It really is perfect place. I will look for a map. They didn't have any when I stopped. There is a gazebo but its $100 to rent. Thats dumb. The other areas are free. Maybe a $5 per car per day park fee but whatever.

I think we should use VOA.

Now it is first come first serve on the picnic areas. Not sure how busy it gets on the weekends over there. I am never here on the w/e. How do we feel about maybe doing it during the week for dinner? Maybe meet over there at like 5 or 6 and hang out a couple hours. I bet it is dead over there during the week. How do peoples schedule look say 5/6:00 pm on a week night?

Not sure if it is dog friendly. I would imagine it is. As far as the dog in the car. We took ours to the in-laws. Freaked me out the whole time! It is very kid friendly. There are paddle boat rentals too if you are so inclined.

And it is already changed to Liberty Way. Check the sign at Butler-Warren and "Liberty Way" The street sign says Liberty Way. There are big plans for the newly widened overpass over 75. Big fancy fence like at Polaris and Gemini Place in Columbus. Maybe a month out...

I'm off this week on Tuesday and Thursday. I'm usually off Wednesdays. On days I do work, I work until 6:00, so I could just head over after work, the street VOA's on is on my way home anyways. Not sure how other people's schedules work out.

We will keep tossing this around. We need to get some more input.

More updates on VOA after 5!

Meeting up N of Cincy sounds good! Sounds like a nice park, too. Can someone confirm the "pet-friendly" aspect?

Weekends are better for me. I'm out of town this weekend but after that, I'm good. Second Saturday of the month is my fiction writers' group meeting in Symmes township, but I'm usually out of there by 3 or so, and can head over to the meeting place after if that's the day we end up meeting.

Not only are they permitted, there is a fenced part called Wiggly Park where you can let them off the leash!

This place really sounds like a winner. We need to get something going...

park map...

Zoom in and look for the area by the parking lot that says "WET/DRY PLAYGROUND" There is a grille and picnic tables there.

Thanks for the info, jrhaus! Sounds great!

Welcome to the forum, Mr. & Mrs. jamesmr! A bunch of us usually meet up at the weekly cruise-in at KMart across from The Greene. I will be out of town this weekend, but we'd love to meet you sometime!

Welcome Mrs. jamesmr! It was great talking to you a few hours ago - hope I was able to help.

You are more than welcome - as are any others without their Camaros yet - to join us in any activities we may organize. Do try to make it out to KMart some Friday and introduce yourselves! The weather's not looking too good for this Friday, but we do live in Ohio so we'll just have to wait and see!
