Will a set of 2013 ZL1 complete brake set work on a 2011 Camaro SS?

Hi guys,

I just found a set of ZL1 Rotors, Calipers and Pads for $1,500.00 (they came off a 2013 Camaro ZL1 that was in an accident). The price is AWESOME; my question is will they fit on my 2011 Camaro 2SS/RS?

Given the price I don't want to miss out on this opportunity but I am not sure they will fit. Thank you for your help.

Pat

Awesome write up. Man I would be pissed if I paid someone $100+ to do that little work. Super easy and fast. I was done in about 45 mins and that was more because I wanted to take my time. Thanks!!!!!

Im currently changing my brake pads but the only issue i am having is on the left front caliper, one of the pistons will not move at all. The other three move with ease but even after I let it bleed little to relieve pressure it still won't budge. I'm done with the right side but the left is just waiting on that one piston.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

How are you trying to retract it?

Sometimes they can get a little stuck. Using pliers or channels should do it but I've had them stick a bit and used a big C-clamp.

Also try it on the other side in case the piston is trying to bind.

I ended up having to take the caliper off and then it was pretty easy. My only concern now is that after I bedded the break pads in, I am still hearing some slight rubbing from my Hawk Brake Pads. Would this just be because they are brand new? I did about 4 60-20mph hard stops without ABS coming on and then I drove the car without stopping for about 15 minutes to allow the brakes to cool. I did this a second time as well. Still hearing the slight rubbing noise

nice video, but I would never use a pair of channel locks to push back the pistons, too much risk of gouging the calipers.. you can even see where he left gouge marks, which will eventually turn into rust marks.

I found it that by removing the master cylinder fill cap, thus allowing air flow, and pushing them back by hand they pushed back very easily and no gouge marks.

Anyone do a hub assembly replacement in here? Is it just the 3 bolts that I need to take out along with the axle nut or is there a special tool I need in order to separate the hub assembly from the axle?
