My new 69 Camaro!
Finally after years of waiting and saving I have bought my dream car. I have wanted a 69 Camaro since high school and now I have one. I love it! The only thing I'm not totally in love with is the old 454 that it came with. It runs good and is fine for putting around but I really want a built 427. I'm considering the GM ZZ427 crate motor. Does anyone have a good engine builder they recommend? Has anyone tried the ZZ427? Opinions?
Thanks! Matt

Why not just get the 502? You can put "427" badges on it.

Right color, right wheels, very nice score on that 69! I would go with the 502! But them again, if its a matter of "got to have it" then get the 427, with a car that nice, I wouldn't worry about what was between the fenders.

I'm definitely jealous. One day I will get one. How much did you pay.....if you don't mind me asking.

Lucky you, I have been looking for a 69 for a long time. Here in Cali the prices are just crazy.

Car looks great!
What size wheels and tires is it running? Is it lowered at all? I am almost to the point of buying wheels for mine and I am just trying to get size ideas for when I see something I like. Thanks |

Congrats! Beautiful car! We have a 69 here we're putting an LS3 based 427 in along with a bunch of DSE suspension. I'm a big fan of making old school modern. Best of luck with whatever route you take!
