I think you can, full tue yes, not 100% on if a hand held can though.

I Received and installed the Range AFM disable unit yesterday. Instant improvement! I have only had the car for two weeks and 500 miles and felt like the transmission controller was having trouble making decisions. I know the device does not affect the trans but the difference is night and day. AFM is not seemless. The car feels like I would expect a V8 automatic Camaro to feel. Very happy. The only way I would like this better would be if they made it smaller. Maybe leave the led's out to make it more compact.
