Thats damn impressive.

Would be nice if you could take it to the track to find out what your trap speed is.

Question: by "straight cats" did you mean the supplied "stainless off-road connection pipes" that come with the kit?

OK, shreker.... It's been a couple of weeks. How are the eBay, el Cheepo headers doing? Just need a word to encourage or shut-up the nay-sayers!

Anything fallen-off, cracked, rubbed, leaked or blown-up?

Gonna get me a set after Christmas! + a Vararam and a tune. Have a catch can ordered now.

Thanks in advance for the up-date.

I contacted speed engineering telling them of the positive attention on camaro5 and asked for a pic of the merge collectors on the headers. Hopefully they'll show a pic and it looks good, then i'm buying.

If they aren't 304 then they might be 409. 304 is slightly better as a public opinion but I've never heard of 409 not lasting as long as 304. And for the price, even if it only last 5 years, it's still a great deal. Another good copycat company is Mazo. They have 2 inch headers on Ebay for like less than $300.

The Mazo headers don't bolt up to the stock pipes like these do. I've heard the complete Mazo system, and it sounds good....

Still waiting on an up-date....

For some of us it has nothing to do what they can afford. It's more of a why pay more for the same power kinda thing.

I make a comfortable enough living that I was able to pay cash for my SS and I went with OBX headers because they fit what I was looking for. They make the same power, sound like every other long tube and will realistically last longer than I will own this car. I'm all about spending money where it matters.

We even had one customer get into an accident bending several tubes in the crash. He sent us an email about the crash, and stated that he was impressed none of the welds cracked or broke. Needless to say we stand behind the products we sell if there is ever an issue.

Unfortunately, this was our fist run of 2010+ Camaro headers we have done, and only have two left. We are not expecting our next batch in for a few months.

Thanks

Sean, thanks for posting up in this thread. I've been following it for a few weeks and I love when manufacturers chime in when there is a debate. If you can craft a quality product and stand behind it, your reputation will begin to speak for itself.

As for OBX - while this thread isn't about them, I will say that I bought their LT's and catted Y for my TBSS. Ran them for about 5 years and the passenger side collector cracked in two places. I sold the TBSS this summer like that (I thought it was a leak). OBX guarantees lifetime warranties - which is a crock. They wouldn't fix their issue because I never filled out a warranty card, yet I had proof of purchase. Whatever, lesson learned and the new owner went a different route anyway.
