Some of them were downright lame, footage from Destiny and other crap. This one looks more official since it has JJ's shooting style. Glad Michael Bay didn't get picked, he would love to have the Death Star remade and on a roll causing explosions everywhere.

Almost all swords have some type of hand guard on them some are more ornate some more function than form. It is just simple hand guard not everything has to have a meaning.

Sorry I should have clarified:
I do not car at all about the implied religious connotation(s)

I simply meant that Cruciform means having the shape of a cross, wheres as Crucifix means an image of one (usually, and most often specifically jesus, executed by means of crucifixion)

I was an English minor, again I am off the reservation, and pretty far into the Nerd Forrest I know, but poor writing is so commonplace and accepted, and said practice drives me into a semi homicidal/suicidal rage.

I got it you were very clear I was agreeing with you, I'm not sure why others always have to find religious meaning in everything. Like seeing the image of Jesus in a cloud or in their ice cream on their toast then it gets just silly.
