Ahhh I missed that....
I can see them trying to pull that on a senior citizen, there are people always trying to scam older people and unfortunately too many trust everyone that come to their door or calls them on the phone.

They want to see your energy bill to see if you "qualify" for solar panels, subsidies, whatever....They are relentless around here...They try and make themselves look like the power companies, but they are just contractors trying to use some extraneous energy saving program to sell you a bunch of crap you don't need....

If it really was a rep from the electric company, or whatever, they would already know what your billing looks like, and wouldn't need for you to show them anything....

I will take that risk, I hate talking to people face to face find it painfully awkward.
Love texting and forums you can just walk away from people when you are done.

I do MY yard work while armed. I never get approached.

I say that is not unusual in Texas...

Glad I reread that.

That was fittin' to be one weird OnStar call.

I despise door knockers whether they are legit or not. One nice gentleman who last knocked at 8 pm one Saturday evening told me his name was Jesse and he was running for Mayor of Melrose Park. I told him to go **** himself and ran him off my front yard with a dog.

A Pitbull, Bull Mastiff, Rottweiler, and so on are all breeds to run humans off your property. The predator must be at least 60lbs., male or female is fine, professionally trained or not doesn't matter. A big dog, large teeth, and an admirable disposition to discriminate and chase other creatures in a aggressive manner is highly suitable.

I call it sport ****in' or rather a proper ****. Guns are cool too!

I've had the same thing happen here in NY with my electric company. The people who claim to be from Nation Grid (my provider) always look sketchy as hell. The last time they came I asked to see a badge and they said they couldn't provide one so I just shut the door on them and continued on my way playing COD

...show the bill ? Huh. It hadn't crossed my mind. Why would an NStar employee want to see my bill? They sent the damned thing, they can look it up.

I figured one of two things- home invasion or scam.

The guy didn't come back today like I asked him to, which sucks. I suppose that's an odd way to look at it but I figured it would be fun, asking him some questions, wasting his time, and then telling him to screw off, because I knew he was a liar yesterday.
