Daily driving a 10 second car

Hey guys!

So I was talking with a manager at my company who happens to have a 1000rwhp viper - and we were talking about my car as I am recently cammed and supercharged, with DRs and PERFECT driving (M6), it should be a high 10 second car (hoping to get out there in a few months and start the road to 10s). He was saying that at our local strip, the 10 second range I will be competing with guys who trailer their 10 second cars in, with this being my daily driver I would of course drive it to the strip.

So I was beginning to think, how many of you guys actually daily drive your cars that make over 650rwhp? I just think there is something cool about driving my car to the strip, running a high 10 (possibly beating cars off trailers), then driving to work the next morning.

Bad ass. Way more fun dd a 10 sec car. Trailer queens are understandable though. Dont want to increase the chance of losing all of those aftermarket parts just because other people dont know how to drive. With your newer car youll be more covered.

Oh yes I definitley understand trailering your car in. I plan on buying a truck to split my driving with my camaro, but I just love my camaro too much not to drive it as much as I can!

Haha not at all! I had a Dodge 2500 Cummins before this camaro that I was thinking about twin turboing for a while. nothing like taking 12,000lbs to the strip to beat perofrmance cars! Fast trucks are just as awesome as fast cars!

I'm going to take a novel approach and actually answer your question....My car makes 697rwhp and I drive it to work a couple of days a week (weather permitting).

DD a 10 second car is just so much unnecessary wear and tear on expensive parts and tire setup. Completely impractical unless you live in BFE. I set in traffic most weekdays and can't stand working the clutch for an hour going 25mph. I would hate my Camaro if It was a DD.. Completely impractical but I never intended mine to be a DD. To each his own but I couldn't imagine DD a 10 second car on DRs everyday.

My Camaro is a DD and I have over 650rwhp. It's nice having the extra power, but it does take a toll on tires haha!
