Just wanted to let everyone know what has happened since I last posted.
First of all, contacting GM got me no where. They sent in a "highly trained technician" who knew what the problem was without ever looking at the vehicle (I wasn't able to take the car in on the day he was in town). What a joke. Second, contacting the BBB also provided ZERO help. My wife and I spent two weeks collecting and providing paper work and documentation to the BBB, only to be told they couldn't do anything other than "order the dealer to fix the problem." The TX lemon law requires the problem occurred within 12k of the original purchase date and the current owner to have experienced that problem during this time period. So even though the first owner took in the car for the same issue, we were out of luck since we purchased the vehicle at 15k. When we submitted our claim with the BBB, they asked for the mileage at which we purchased the vehicle. It took them two weeks and a lot of work on our part for them to figure out they couldn't help us get the car repurchased under the TX lemon law! Couldn't they have said that the day we submitted the application since we provided all the information they needed to answer that question?? Third, the dealership "found the problem" for the 6th time. Three weeks since the last repair and no issues yet (although we haven't had cold weather since this attempt). They blame it on a loose female connection to the BCM? under the glove compartment. They said they were able to reproduce the ABS light by wiggling the wire. They proceeded to replace the entire connection from the glove compartment to the rear wheel. Fourth, we were fortunate and have proceeded to secure a great deal on a new Camaro and more than fair offer on our current Camaro. Thankfully we are getting out of this vehicle without losing too much. Now it's just a wait for the 2012 to be produced. If anyone has any more questions feel free to ask...I'll do my best to answer!

I have a 2010 Camaro SS 6M; &, this issue has occurred to me also. The first time was , a month ago, driving through wet weather. Now, as of yesterday, periodically on start up my stabilatrack warning comes on and then turns off. I have looked over the car thus so far have not found any descrepensies.

My 2010 3.6 started exhibiting this issue when the temps fell off here in the north to the 0 to 8 degree range. After the Traction Control and Stability lights came on I would get the Low engine power mode message and the engine would run rough at an idle.
At first, if I shut the engine off and restarted it would usually run smooth and low power condition would be gone long enough to get going and if lucky the lights would go out as I went down the road. I also noticed I could feel a very mild pulsing in the fuel delivery under slow acceleration and cruising. The issue turned out to be a defective throttle body. It messed up the air / fuel mixture and the engine would misfire. A couple of times when the engine was running rough it did set a code but not always. Part #: 12616994 Description: BODY 3.335 Y |
