I got mine replaced in June.. mine was rattling from day one. I talked to the Service mgr and showed him the production notice on the blower noise and also the TSB on the brake master cylinder leaking, he ordered up the parts, when they arrived at the dealership they called me and made an appointment. Work was completed in one day, I now have a nice quite SC snout with a solid coupler.

Just got mine back, took 2 weeks. I was told the blower was on back order. It actually just showed up, they were not expecting it that soon.

You do get a courtesy car, but it aint no Z lol.

Wow That's crazy. Mine was done back in July but it was ordered, then they called me when it came in (like 2 days later), then I brought my car to them and it was completed inside of two working days.

Took mine in last Monday and got it back last night, Just over a week even after being told it was all on backorder. Not bad timing if I say so myself.

How did you get your replaced on a modded car? Mine was turned down because of mods. They said GM requested the ECU and because it wasn't OEM the would not replace mine. My SC is 100% stock also.

That's a heart breaker for sure. The change in the ECU is the number one reason GM will deny warranty work. I understand why they do it also. I was told that right away when I arrived for service. I advised the service writer that the ECU was not flashed. The wait for me is the warranty to expire before modding my ECU.

That sucks because the problem would have happened without the mods. You should replace it yourself with a solid isolator and call it a day.

This /\ /\ /\ ~- it would have happened anyway. Seems crappy, like they were trying to find a reason not to.

That's a long wait. 10 years or 100,000 miles!

Actually the problem was there before I modded it, but at that time GM put out a bulletin from their engineers that the rattle was normal and didn't pose a problem. With that in mind I went forward with the mods, then they had a change of heart, go figure. I tried to find the post on here but had no luck. It was some time mid 2012.

That's a ridiculous wait if you truly want to mod. I could never do it. Warranties are so over played anyways.
Even this supercharger replacement, again overplayed! All's you need is a replacement isolater for craps sake.
These motors have more then prove themselves, moding them just takes an already awesome engine to a higher level of awesomeness.
That's how I see it anyways.

Yes, I had the rattle, thought it was normal, then it went to a squeal. That is when I took mine in. In fact, when I inspected mine after the exchange, I made that exact comment to my service adviser.

I went to a different dealer, I was turned down at the first one being told a gm engineer came and looked at it and said it was normal, I said that's fine I'll just take it to another dealership. The next week I took it to a different dealership who agreed the same day I brought it in that it was not normal and put the order in for me. I haven't swapped any pulleys yet which I think would be a legit reason to refuse me although, they did know I had a tune on it.

That dealership is one of a kind, it's Mike Reichenbach Chevrolet in Blufton SC, super nice.. I can't even describe how good of an experience I had there if anyone needs work done in the area they earned my business. They even went as far as replacing valve stem caps I forgot to put back on after an autocross event even without me even saying anything about them they just did it. RHLMarines told me about them. They did his car also even though his is modified with a larger throttlebody and other stuff too. There are good dealerships out there just hard to find.
