This sounds like more of a traction control issue. If you don't have traction control turned off it will cut fuel on every hard shift because you are breaking the rear wheels loose. Even going from 3rd to 4th at 98 you break the wheels loose a enough for the computer to cut the throttle if you shift quickly and immediately floor it as you let the clutch out. So either turn off the traction or modulate the throttle a bit more.

I have an '04 Z06, which has a skip shift eliminator on it but that doesn't matter because under hard acceleration the skip shift doesn't come in to play. BTW, the skip shift eliminator is the same one that I had on the '01 Camaro SS that I traded in on the Z06. I bought it from SLP and it is still working perfectly.

Also the '01 Z06 has less HP than the later ones. 385 vs 405. I think that you are in trouble if he is a decent driver with decent tires on his car, the weight difference is too great.

Hmm. Never had the engine fall flat on it's face in any of my Corvettes or the SS just by running through the gears wot with hard shifts.
I certainly have had it by not paying attention to the rpm needle if you know what I mean.

The fact is, "Skip Shift" did not cause your issue.

Eliminator installed or straight from the factory, your losing power for a half second was caused by you hitting the rev limiter and had nothing to do with skip shift.

My best time was a 12.4 with CAI and tune only. This was also on my 2010 SS, I haven't ran my 2014, but I'm sure I could run the same time. It's an M6 so if you're an auto I'm sure it can be faster.

My brother has an 02 Z06 and I have a 2012 SS. Both have some work done to them. He beats me every time. He isn't the greatest drive, either. Best of luck. Don't try a pull. You will be embarrassed.

By how many car lengths....?

I noticed this is your 5th overall post, so I'm assuming you just bought your '12 SS?

What are your mods?

On a pull, at least a full length and would keep pulling. I have had my car for almost 6 months, now. I have CAI, catback, and range AFM device. He has intake and exhaust, too. The power to weight ratio is the problem with camaro vs corvette. I've had two corvettes prior and there is definitely a difference between the muscle of the camaro and dare I say it "super car" feeling of the corvette.
