Collector gasket leaks
Has anyone heard of or experienced leaks from the exhaust manifold-pipe collector gaskets? My 2012 LS began throwing codes for Bank 1 Sensor 2 stuck lean (2272) with 0137 and 0157 codes. The engine sounds rough, very loud, and there's an obvious leak coming from the left side collector gasket area. I pulled the short pipe with the forward O2 sensor out to inspect the gasket. It appears to be 3 layers of thin metal compressed together, and I can't find anyone that carries an aftermarket version. Does anyone have any ideas on where I can get a suitable substitude for this gasket, preferably not one made solely of metal? I just don't see how this can provide much of a seal. Thanks!

I took my 12 in for service and they noticed it leaking and replaced it since I'm still under warranty

The stock gaskets are actually very good. Did you try to just tighten the bolts up? You should still be under warranty, make the dealer fix it?
Unless they look really screwed up somehow, they are typically reusable also. |

I bought a new gasket from the dealer & replaced it, no more leak from that location. Car still runs horribly rough, sounds like a hole in the exhaust somewhere near the left side manifold. It's extremely loud at idle and quiets down a bit under RPMs. Friggin' dealer says it's not covered under warranty because it's external to the engine on the exhaust side, hypothetically.
