Z28 vs GTR (Motortrend)

I'm sure you Z28 owners already know what the results of this head to head will be...

Some folks can't seem to learn to never, say never.

I'm at 700 miles and am breaking in as per GM..... So I've only been able to scratch the surface of what the car can do. I'm not real sure that I have big enough co-hoonas to run the car at its limits. But it will sure be fun learning to get close.

What a testament to the final years of the 5th Gen to go out on top and envy of all. Grwat time to a car guy and own a Camaro.

One of the things that wasn't mentioned (which perhaps should be) are the higher maintenance costs and shorter intervals between maintenance with the GTR. Unless they've improved things since the initial release... IMO it hints at the GTR being a more delicate machine.

The 7L Camaro is pretty straight forward mechanically (engine, drivetrain).

I still can't get over how well the Z28 performs relative to the cost of the GTR, which performs well relative to many expensive supercars from 0-60. I'll never be able to afford either car used...
