It's all in how you drive them. If youre hot rodding around in the parking lot or driving like an ass the noise attracts people.

Even if your car IS loud, if you drive normal it's not really an issue.

Then you have the types that are not car people by any means and they detest the louder exhaust.

"Oh here we again".

Hey you know what's nice about having a forum?

The repetitive information that people will most often ask, has been recorded, every bloody time it's asked.

I would honestly frame that and hang it in my garage next to my Camaro. All that says to me is "mission accomplished."

I hate people like that, though, too much of a coward to say it to your face, and just hides behind an anonymous note. As long as they didn't damage your car, I'd just laugh it off.

If i came roaring up to the the grocery story, down shifting to first as a pulled into the parking lot, speeding through the lot in first gear just to show off how loud my car is, making sure to pass by the front of the store so that as many people as possible could smell the fumes, and then parked... receiving a note on my car should be expected.

However, entering at the furthest entrance of the parking lot, cruising just barely above idle, and parking as far away from people as possible, such as I did, doesnt leave much reason for a response such as this.

All of the replies above that support the action of the note writer, assume that he somehow heard my "obnoxiously loud" car or smelled my fumes. Less than likely seeing how i was just above idle and far away from any people.

Now with this being the case, the note writer didnt have much reason other than what i think is to show off that he could tell i have removed my cats from simply hearing my idle or that he is an environmentalist.

so no need to bash on catless cars, a large portion of members here have them. they just need to be driven responsibly and courteously.
I completely agree...very well said.

It's all about having that common courtesy. Down the street from me are a straight piped Celica and an STi with a 3ft blast pipe sticking out the back. Both are loud as hell and driven by young kids. However, they are very courteous when driving their cars at odd hours. For that, I respect them and wouldn't want them to change their car, because it's something they enjoy.

YoungGunn, your car is awesome, and I hope you never change it for anyone else, only for yourself.

Totally. Because YOU should care about what everyone thinks of or sniffs from YOUR car. If you can't stand the smell, hold your breathe and take a few steps back

You'd be surprised. Theres always that one guy or crazy old lady that thinks shes a cop and will pull out her little portable notepad and stick a note to your car that says "Hey asshole, I saw you turn in without your blinkers."
or "dont park on the sidewalk or i report you"
