I read somewhere they sold more GTs than anything else. The V8 trim doesn't represent mainstream sales, ever.

It also makes me wonder that trim everybody else buys from here on. Do you want the underwhelming V6 in a heavier car or a frakin 4 banger?

V6 all day ! Muscle cars had v6 versions but only the mustang had a 4 ! I'll leave that for the imports and tuner cars !

I honestly believe a good chunk of sales are the 14 model years. Biggest reason is because I've seen at least three 2014 mustangs in the last week with temp plates on them.

I definitely see more Mustangs than Camaros. It seems the stangs don't hibernate either.

could be, but my local dealers haven't had 14 Mustang on the lot in almost 2 months. I want to say my local dealers got rid of all their 14s by mid October. IIRC they stopped building 14s in mid June

Same thing here.

The odd and rare Muscle Car, regardless of age that I'll see on the road during winter months, will tend to be a Mustang. Hmmm...makes one wonder what this means.

Not exactly. I have had many Camaro's and a few Mustang's and it seemed my Mustangs did better in weather. Not only that but the original equipment tires on all the Camaro's that I have had sucked in weather. The original tires on my S197 Mustang were fantastic in any weather including snow.

Still seeing the odd Mustang here as well even in my frozen neck of the woods, -25c the other week and one on the hiway on my way home from work. Mind you I also saw a Corvette a day or two before that on the hiway as well. Cant remember the last Camaro I saw other than mine when I went to pay it a visit a few weeks ago

Not really. I may have seen a few more but nothing substantial to notice a wide change. Being 100% honest I have seen more 15s ( total of two in the last week than 13s or 14s).

I am sure someone can look into the surplus inventory dealers may have had, but if they stopped building them in June, to still have a substantial amount of 14s on lots in November would have meant over 4 months of inventory...I am not saying its not possible, but for people to be saying the huge jump in sales is simply bc of rebates on the 14s and not bc the 15 is finally here to me seems a bit far fetched. At least to me it does, I know it helped, but I dont think the huge jump was simply bc of rebates on the 14s. I just searched the 5 dealers closest to me, they have a combined total of 8 2014 Mustangs, with 2 of those being GT500s. It's not like Ford was building them like F-150s lol, hell my local dealer still has like 30 2014 F-150s, with their inventory showing some dealer ordered 2015 F150s

the all season tires on my S197 were great as well. Never got stuck once, never needed snow tires or additional weight in the care. Just took my time and got where I was going
