ButtonWillow raceway is off of I-5 just north of Bakersfield. Extreme Speed is hosting an event there Dec. 6 and 7th. Speed Ventures may be hosting an event the same weekend at Streets of Willow.

looks like you guys had fun out there. Its a very fun and fast track. Did any of you guys go off? It is not to bad when you go off there. The more laps you get there the better the feel. I feel it as a high speed autox course.

it didn't rain that day but it was pretty wet from the showers we got that week. I went off the track at I-5, no damage to the car but I still have mud caked on.

I don't know what is worse. The dust bowl or the mud. I went off 3 times in 2 days. I did a few rookie mistakes of overtaking a few and could not slow down in time.

Had a blast tracking with Tom and Robert today, well at least while the fun lasted.

The good news: Ran low 1:56s at the start of the three sessions I ran, while fighting clutch issues. Still, never got enough track time to get a rhythm, there was a lot more left in the car. The new engine is stout! Everything's dialed in from a performance standpoint.

The bad news: Didn't finish a single session. First I shredded a serpentine belt, and drove 20 miles and back to pick up a replacement. Put it on, then catastrophically blew the clutch on track. Peddle to the floor, puddle of dot 4 fluid under it.

Tom saved my bacon, helping me pack up my stuff and get my Camaro to the track-side repair shop. Then he took me to Bakersfield so I could get a rental car.

Long day, time to relax and enjoy this glass of wine.

2:15 for me...Donnie and Juan did great....Robert and I ran in the Gold group on Sunday...lol....I think we were the two slowest...lol...

Don's videos should be good....

Managed to stay on the track, but it sure seemed slipperier to me than a few years ago....A few times I almost lost it...lol...

Todd had an interesting day....His car is a beast out there....Good luck with getting it fixed, Todd.

It's a fun track....Might be better without the mud, though...lol...
