Post Bluetooth confusion

Alright, I have seen a few forums on here about bluetooth, but none of them seem to fit my particular situation. Let start with some clarity on a few questions. My radio has Phone settings when i go to it but then it says Not Available, Is this because my radio does not have bluetooth or is this some error, i saw some fuse thing on the internet could this be my problem? To state my goal i want to A. Keep my stock radio, B. Keep OnStar, C. Gain Bluetooth with the usability of the Mic that is already there for OnStar

1. What is this bluetooth not working due to a fuse issue, i need some clarity.
2. Is there any possible way to keep my factory radio and Onstar while gaining the bluetooth capability.
3. I have spoken with a chevy dealer over the phone but all they did was a quick internet search and I'm not entirely sure they understood what my question was. They said i have to buy this module and put in in and i will have bluetooth is it that simple? http://www.shopchevyparts.com/electr...-92252215.html

My car is a 2011 V6 LT with the RS package . I saw online somewhere that if i have the USB port and Aux Port in the glovebox then i have bluetooth is this true, i don't think so. - Thanks for any help you guys can provide me.

I know that when I want to stream music by bluetooth on the radio, I have to select GMMusicConnect under bluetooth setting on my phone, all other times it defaults to GMConnect for phone only.

I'll try when I'm back at my car but I think mine doesn't have bluetooth equiped. I know when I go to phone settings it says not available. So if my car is not equipped with bluetooth is there a way I can add it?

you have to pair the phone to the car before it is available under phone settings on the radio.
follow the directions i posted above and it should sync.

OK when I follow those directions I go to the config menu and on the radio I select phone settings correct. .. however when I select phone settings it says not available. What could cause this?

There are potentially two Bluetooth systems, one for audio (PDIM module in center console), and, one for phone (OnStar). The confusion may be coming from that.

i cant seem to get either to work for the onstar or the one for music. there is a USB and AUX cable port in the center console but i just don't seem to find bluetooth. i checked the onstar fuse but i am not seeing a fuse for bluetooth in the owners manual. like i said i bought the car monday night, the salesman said it had bluetooth, but he was a Mercedes salesman so take that for what is is worth. I'm kind of getting frustrated with it because one chevy dealer said i should have it and the other one was not sure and said it would be 2 hours before they could check. so if anyone has a sure proof way to know if i have bluetooth let me know. you have a 2010 Lt do you have Bluetooth, i dont think much changed between the 2010 and 11 models if any at all.

Is Bluetooth turned on in your phone? If not, then the Bluetooth receiver in the On Star unit cannot see your phone, and cannot pair your phone to the radio.

I don't have the OnStar module, and, did not get the car with the audio Bluetooth (I added that later).

If you see GMusicConnect, then, you have the audio Bluetooth. If you don't see GMConnect (mentioned above), I'd say that the car does not have the right equipment for the phone.

so i would see GMusicConnect on my phone even if i don't start a search on car? I am pretty sure that i dont have it. I have tried everything. What module did you use? i am not going to pay for onstar so i guess it is cool if i lose it.
