Yes, and apparently there is a rumor going around that the only way to get AWD with the Hemi is through restricted fleet sales, IE government/LEO fleet sales.

The engineers did build a Hemi AWD Charger police unit, but it was decided that it would not be offered for sale. No details on why that decision was made.

The consensus on not offering the Hemi paired with AWD was the low take rate, even in the snow belt areas.

Really?? Give it time, man. They were just released two weeks ago. You expecting folks to take a 65k car and go direct to the track to beat it as a way to break in their car - wait till the Summer. Do you expect to see C7 Z06's video's by the dozen, too as they just started to release?

It doesnt matter if a car has 1 or 100k miles on it, there is nothing in the tuning that is going to change the oil or coolant temperatures, especially if you think a low mileage "calibration" is going to make the temperatures higher? The only power reduced calibration ive ever heard of was definately on ford gt's, and maybe gt500's, and it lasted to 50 miles on the odometer

Getting ones 15 minutes of fame is a powerful draw. This forum is loaded with posts from guys that blew off the break in altogether or accelerated it with road trips. I did that later

So really. In seriousness. I expected to see them within days.

It would (seriously) take a truck-capacity transfer case to handle even the "normal" Hemi, and in "severe duty applications" (think snowbelt police etc.) the warranty co$t$ would be "interesting", and the curb weight would exceed the Hellcats.

Even Police Package Tahoes are ONLY available in 2WD. The 4X4 versions are not of similar componentry, and are more production-based and NOT intended for "severe duty" lifestyles. Most police dep'ts needing 4X4s tend to use 3/4-ton Suburbans, at least in this area.

Never thought of it that way......but I would definitely never be one of those.
I still say that late Spring/early Summer that these videos will start popping up....and probably with different tires too.

MotorTrend First Test Published

MotorTrend: 0-60, 3.7sec; 1/4mile 11.8 @ 124.3mph; 4562lbs

Great performance for the money ($69,070) for a stock sedan.

Other 11-sec sedans from MotorTrend:
-Tesla P85D: 11.6
----E63 AMG: 11.6
----Audi RS7: 11.6
CLS 63 AMG: 11.7
------Hellcat: 11.8
---Panamera: 11.8
------Audi S8: 11.8
------F10 M5: 11.9

Curious to see how it sells in the $60-70k price range. Most buyers in that price range are luxury oriented which is why every single sedan above is luxury sport vs sport sedan. Amazing we have so many 11-sec factory sedans on the streets!
