Orange chevy Stated he used an 18" rim from a Z06 which would be 10.5" wide (assuming the rear Z06 rim).
I don't think that tire would fit that rim..

OrangechevyII needs to tell us the tire size.
ooops, missed the part about it being Corvette rears. My bad. I ran that 265/40-18 on my stock 18x9.5 wheels. It would certainly not work on a 10.5 inch rim.

I remember posting on here months ago telling everyone that this new camaro trapping 112 would run in the 11's with a very good driver who knows how to 60' and power shifts....well I have been racing for years and doing it and everyone kept saying its too heavy...doesnt matter its trapping 112 well its not even fall or winter yet and someone is running 12.02 with just a couple of bolt-ons....stick around someone will break 11's stock in a couple of months....I am old school so I will say a car is stock with drag radials

Keep us updated. By the way, still waiting for some pictures of your car with your wheel/tire combo. I know it is for the track, not to look good, but I am still curious to see it. Nice runs BTW, it almost sounds like you are bogging a bit out of the hole, or was that the other car?

It shows you have been racing for a while, good job. Here's some advice to the beginners that plan on going down the track: As soon as the last yellow bulb lights up, ITS TIME TO GO!! Don't sit around waiting for the pretty green light. In the vid you can see he left on the yellow, but it takes some practice to get that down.
Based on the vid you're shifting into 4th just past the 1000 ft mark.Might want to try a 28" tire and see if you can go thru the traps at the top of 3rd,although you might be bouncing off the limiter.

Are you shifting at redline in each gear?
Have you thought about switching pumpkins with the auto? Up to 4th gear there is quite a difference in the gearing between the auto and the manual.

Very nice times, I am impressed.

What's your launching technique, or I suppose you are using the stock launching system. The name slips my mind.

Were the LG headers custom or something made for a vette that fit nicely to the Camaro? I haven't seen anything on their site for LG headers and I've been looking forward to it. I heard people from across the country bring their Corvettes to LG just for their headers.

Prototype header, they'll be out soon enough. Just be patient.

You ready for this.......................?

All devices off, launchiung at 5100 rpms. Not dumping the clutch as you can see, riding it out. It kills the clutch I know, but I dont wanna buy the axles either.

Auto or stick, he is going too fast to cross in 3rd, at least on a regular basis without damaging something.
