I am coming from a 2006 Dodge Charger SRT8 where the steering is you steer and it goes that way stiff steering.. I am new to the Camaro and own a 2011 Camaro LT1 RS Package.

I am curious, when I steer, it seems like I am trying to fight to keep it straight, slight touch left it goes left, slight touch right it goes right, sorry its hard to explain, but it seems the only way to keep the wheel straight is driving at 2 O'clock and 10 O'clock, however if I let go of the steering wheel it drives completely straight, is this the Electronic Power Steering causing this? is it normal?

Thanks, sorry, was kind of hard to explain

Maybe the Camaro just feels more connected to the road than the Charger? It seems small steering inputs actually change direction, versus just moving the steering wheel. Every time I've driven a Charger or anything LX-platform, it feels sloppy.

Thanks Comrando, thats possible...I will see if I can find out..

Thanks Evergreen, you could be right as well, it actually does feel more connected to the road, meaning in a good way, I am sure I will get use to the vehicle eventually, and loving it..

It wouldn't hurt to have the alignment checked just to be safe.

Yup. Get a good alignment.

I'd also recommend an allignment. You went from an SRT8 to a V6 camaro? Or you still have the charger?

As Pete says, "It turns in yesterday."
That is partially what I meant by good alignment. The other part being not just 'in spec' but being near perfectly in spec.

Yeah, OEM might say -0.5 - -1.1 degrees of camber is "in spec" but that means that the right can be at -0.6 and the left can be at -1.1 and it's still "good."
No. If they're the SAME left and right, then they're right.

Traded it in for a few reasons....

1 Gas Mileage
2. Problems Were arising such as Tranny (replaced once already) @ 72,000Kms
3. 106,000Kms on it

I loved it don't get me wrong, but I love the design of the Camaro and has 80,000Kms less then the Charger...
