Does anyone even know that the ZL1 will ever be offered again in the new body style[2016]? If not and I am really not sure GM will offer these ZL1's again it would be wise to not sell any right now if you own one. Now the op wants a new one and I have thought about getting one also just to get the last year ZL1 available if GM does not offer it again. That would make it worth more in the long run as opposed to the 2013 I have now,I think? I have been reading anything I can find out about the camaro's that are going to be offered in 2016. It is always about the SS or Z/28, nothing about the ZL1 so it really makes you wonder if we are seeing the last of the ZL1's in 2015. We shall see I guess. So will the trade difference be worth it in the long run? Only if you do not sell it for about 20 years and GM stops building them in 2015.

Not trying to hijack this thread but I wanted to ask a relevant question. I have been told by someone in the auto industry that there is no way the ZL1 would be eligible for the 20% off promo. He said that he would almost guarantee that anytime I inquire on one of these cars it will have almost always have 'just sold'. I don't believe this but was wondering if anyone has purchased one of these with the discount or works/has worked at a dealer that can confirm or deny this theory.
Thanks for the feedback. |

http://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/de...3382/overview/ This is a great way for a dealer to mover a high $$$ unit at the factory's expense... great thing if your buying now.... Last edited by Kags1969; 12-30-2014 at 02:01 AM. |

A friend of mine got a 2013 ZL1 Coupe 6MT with about 9k miles, dealer offered him $37500 or 38000 when he was thinking about trading it in for a new Z06 earlier this month.

Thanks for all of the feedback. In my head I knew it was real but wanted a sanity check. I've located 3 or so that I am interested in that have the 20% off. Guess I'll be busy the next couple days trying to make a deal happen.

I got offered 20k plus tax advantage on my trade in of my 203 1lt rs with 20k miles. I looked on Craigslist and saw 5 posted for 19k with less miles. I traded in real fast.

I was lucky to sell my 13' 2LT for 21k to a private party buyer.

Dang , that's a crazy deal! I guess California is a killer in every way! Because I got offered 21,000 by a dealer and that was the highest with just 3k miles! Price to pay for living in California!

While I probably won't end up doing anything, as soon as I saw the 20% off deal, I did start looking at a ZL1. I drive a 2013 2SS 1LE and love it but if I could pick up a new ZL1 in the mid to low 40s, I'd be all over it. With that said though, I refuse to lose money. I made over $5K when I traded in my 2010 2SS so if you hit it right... I think trade in value will jump back up once these EOY deals are over. If anyone is looking at a 1LE, Barton Birks Chevy in Newburgh, NY has a yellow one for $35K. Looks beautiful.
