Radio issue 2011 camaro SS

I just got my car out the shop and it was in there for nothing relating the radio but once I went to pick the car up the radio has like a matrix look in the background. Not sure what to do at this point but cuz I think my warranty is up. But here is a pic of what it looks like. Thanks for the help

Your display is failing. Maybe a loose solder joint. Try tapping on the unit lightly and see if there is any change when you are doing so. It might correct itself temporarily but will likely come back. Your options would be to send it in for service or replace the HU. I personally would replace the HU with an aftermarket solution. My preference has always been Kenwood but there are many excellent HU manufacturers out there.

My first choice's are Alpine, Pioneer, and lastly Kenwood.

Remember the after market Schoche Kit will run you 250 bucks, plus the head unit which is anywhere from 200-1500 bucks.

Or you could buy another stock head unit for 150 and get it reprogrammed, if it has to be reprogrammed like the mylink units i'm not usre.

Ah man but how did this happen lol everything was just working fine before I took it to the shop for engine work. now im not big into speakers and radio heads but I do like to listen to music in the car so I might just find someone selling a stock radio. The shop said if it doesn't go back to normal by Tuesday to send it back and they will replace the head unit but I just thought they could have been an easy fix.

Short of someone physically abusing the radio (hitting it with their fist, etc) I'd speculate that this was a coincidence.

Yeah it don't look like it has any damage to the face by someone hitting it but hey you never know. But ill take it back to the shop and see what they can do about it.
