Oiling system coming together. Remote oil filter mounted to cylinder head with an oil temp sending unit on the back so we can see how hot the oil is as it leaves the engine - no more guessing. The oil cooler is embedded in the bumper and will have some ducting to direct airflow to it so that it is not rendered ineffective by the fascia when it's on.

Thanks!

Actually, we are getting ready to transition from the main engine/interior part of the project in the next week or so, to the second piece of the project around fine tuning the suspension. Once API is done with the engine and finishes up their part, I'm driving it over to the other side of town to JPSS for more awesomeness. Don't know if you know, but Justice Pete from here on Camaro5 has recently transitioned out of API and has started his own outfit offering a range of suspension customization offerings (some of which are not public yet but trust me once they are released you too will want them for your car. Seriously.)

Anyhow, you can learn more on the JPSS Facebook page:

http://www.facebook.com/JPSuperiorSolutions

We'll be doing corner balancing, alignment, and adding some of the other yet to be announced JPSS goodies there, and then doing some high speed shakedown runs later in January, hopefully. I am very much looking forward to the API engine work wrapping up so JusticePete can start his stuff.

Pete

Lots 'o progress! In order:
- Cutoff switch for rear charging lug so that the battery cannot be shorted from outside the car
- Fast intake and fuel rails installed. Back side of the 102mm Nick Williams throttle body had to be milled for clearance. Idler pulley had to be changed out too for clearance.
- Remote filler bracket with oil pressure and temp sensors, and one fire nozzle
- Fire nozzle on driver side mounted on body
- Oil pressure/temp display will be mounted to roll bar
- PS cooler installed. It's a Dodge SRT8 power steering cooler, repurposed.
- Charging lugs work!
- 3 gallons of 15-50 Mobil 1, looks like it will take 4 gallons total.

Excuse my inexperiecne again....but since it's a dry sump system now, it doesn't need a dipstick anymore, right? If so how do you plug the hole for it?

Good question. Probably a freeze plug, I am guessing. Something like this:

Not sure what the boys did with the dipstick hole on my engine, but will have a look next time I am there.

More updates:
- Engine bay pretty much complete, looks like a little wiring left to do. Surprisingly my old CAI from my LS3 fits pretty well. How about that!
- A shot of the oil cooler from underneath so y'all can see exactly what they did there.
- Good lord, even the exhaust is going on! Headers are a little lower because the engine was dropped 1/2 inch, but they are still higher than the big flanges I used to have on my previous set. Looks like the driver's side exhaust isn't cooperating but I trust it will get figured out. See blue dry sump tank drain plug in last shot.

Looking good! What part of the driver side exhaust isn't cooperating? Looks good in the pictures.
