Header, CAI and No Tune? L99 RWHP?

I just purchased a 2014 L99 and am installing 1 7/8 headers, a CAI, and a Range AFM module. I want to keep the warranty intact and was wondering what kind of gains from these two mods without the tune? 30rwhp?

I understand that I should get a tune, but I want to keep the warranty intact for a while at least....

Tune isn't really required and isn't going to hurt your car in any way. You might lose a few miles on the tank but it's just because your fuel trims are off. You should gain around 30-40 hp without a tune. That's a IMO statement!

Yes, but when cats become clogged and/or all rickety rackety, people often scratch and think long and hard, why me?

I thought that the stock ECU adjusts fuel trims to keep the fuel in the stock range....

Well, when changing the CAI the ECU doesn't always adjust correctly and the fuel trims change a little which will make it run richer. You don't really even need a tune for simple bolt-ons, you really just need for someone to check your fuel trim levels, and the O2 sensor cel. Everything else adjust by itself

Stock ECU can only adjust so much before needing a tune.

Just to be safe, have your fuel trim checked.

We can help you with a tune. We offer hand held tuners that can be installed & then removed when you put the car back to stock.

No need to worry about driving around with ses lights!
