Today while driving from Gold's Gym to my work, I noticed a guy behind me at a stoplight (in his Honda Civic) rolling his window down and sticking his head out looking like he wanted to say something to me. I had no idea what he was doing lol so I pretended not to notice but he made it so obvious. After the light turned green I made my left turn, then right at the next light to get onto the freeway. He followed of course, but continued to stay on my butt (not tailgate but he clearly didn't want me getting away). When the freeway opened up, he went to the next lane and I noticed he was still staring at me while driving past.

My initial thought was that I cut him off or something was broken in my rear. But nope, I came to the conclusion that he thought I was driving a Z/28 cause he just wouldn't stop staring even after he passed

Tell me some stories guys! Have you noticed any people staring you down or giving you a thumbs up?

That's my experience. Punks in Civics older than they are. Soccer moms (and dads) in minivans. I'm just glad they can live their lives vicariously through me, lol.

Being from New Jersey, when I'm driving through a parking lot and I see some dude walking by, looking at me, my first thought is "What the **** is your problem?!" Because, well, that's New Jersey. It took awhile to get used to the idea that people aren't staring me down for some reason, but they are enjoying looking at my car.

One time I got off work and there were a kid and his dad looking at my car (I work by an Elementary school), I don't mind unless they touch. lol. Dad was trying to take a photo of his son with the car.
I unlocked the car while approaching, they got concerned about what I would say. I wasnt going to say anything. I let them take as many photos as they wanted. hahah
They kid got so excited and asked me if he could see it from the inside. I was like, hop in. He got in the drivers seat with his backpack still on, looked around, touched the steering wheel and hopped out, the whole time he had the biggest smile on his face. It was totally worth it.

It was just really cute. and I loved it.

I was just idling (car shaking) at a stop light and there was a truck a few cars back in the turn lane beside me, a lady probably mid 40's hung out the passenger window as they drove past screaming yea and gave me a thumbs up.

Still get more comments on the 85 El Camino though than I do the Camaro.

2 stories

1. Getting on expressway guy in Camry comes flying up with a huge cheesy smile giving me a thumbs up.

2. At a stop light I hear someone talking (I had the top down). I look over and a Lady on the back of a motorcycle was talking to my son (he was 3 and a half) about my car and if he was having a fun ride.

I could tell a bunch of stories about kids admiring "Bumblebee".

But one good one was shortly after I got my vanity plates that read "BUMMLBE". The was a highway patrol a lane over and a couple car lengths back from me. He hung back there for a couple miles. Finally as they started to pass me, I saw he was taking pictures of my car with his phone while smiling and giving me the thumbs up.

My favorite was the day the car was delivered to me. I shopped around for a long time for my Camaro. But I never told my son. He's been a huge Camaro fan since the first Transformers movie came out when he was four. I rarely pick my son up from school, but since I already had the day off and a new car, I went to get him. I met him by his classroom and we walked out to the street. He immediately saw the Camaro and made a comment about it. About how it looked like Bumblebee and that is was an SS. At that point I unlocked it, popped the trunk and put his backpack inside. He had a shocked look on his face. After he got in, I asked if he liked it. Of course he said yes. Then I told him it was ours and that I had traded in our Saturn for it, he got a huge smile on his face that he's had since. At first he thought I rented the Camaro.
