I just can't believe it; did they listen to our petition?

I haven't seen it on sale yet, but judging from the pricing of other sizes, I'd imagine in the ballpark of $400, possibly less.

Yes, they will not be as fast as Trofeo Rs (I presume), but the savings in the track-day budget is substantial!

I called my local Discount Tire shop yesterday, and they quoted me $387/tire. Since this was the first day these tires are out, I did not yet see any online pricing. I think we will get to buy these tires for no more than $350/tire during the season!

DiscountTire/America's Tire will always price-match or beat any other price...I usually get the lowest price on-line....(Onlinetires.com, actually) and Discount Tire will meet it or beat it....

Indeed, but pricing at online sites is not available at this time. I actually sent an e-mail to OnlineTires.com for this tire, but they have not yet responded.

I used to get it price-matched all the time, too, but lately I'm buying it from whoever offers the best price. After all, it feels like they deserve the credit for the best price anyway.

The cheapest isn't always the best deal.. On line doesn't include mounting.if you don't buy the tires from the tires store that mounts them they won't stand behind the tires. Sometimes cost more to mount tires that they didn't sell. Buy from someone you know and trust that can service you after the sale.

Discount Tire waives the mounting fee when you buy from them, but they still charge you for balancing, and the cost advantage is usually offset by local tax. Actually, at 9.5%, I'd have to pay $150 just for tax by buying it locally.

Anyhow, there are reputable online companies as well, like Tire Rack, and they have always taken care of my issues.

I usually either use Discount Tire or Tire Rack for my tire needs. Where I buy the tires, I always get them mounted by Discount Tire.

Click ont he link by the OP, you can rotate the view of the tire. Looks like a perfect replacement for the Trofeo.
