If it went WOT and you don't shut it off, you get to watch the pistons come through the hood, but shutting it off and pulling over will be good practice for the key fob issue.

Good point...can you shut the motor with the wheels in motion in the A6 when put in Neutral?

I have had the controller on my car for a couple of months now with no issues. I feel like I have better control over the car and the increased acceleration is impressive.

Do you keep it on one setting at all times? What setting?

Yes....or shut it off and leave it in D, you will still coast, there will just be more drag on it and you won't coast as far.

Don't forget, if you shut the engine off, you have no power steering or brake booster.

I've decided to buy one of these too. Just don't have the cash yet.

The brakes should retain enough vacuum to bring it to a stop, but even without vacuum you can still stop it with more pedal pressure and even without power steering you can still steer, its just a little harder as long as the car is moving.
Its a good idea to practice it in a empty parking lot. That way if it should happen on the road you won't panic and will know how your car reacts.

I guess people forget in the old days when we had throttle cables they could hang up. I have that happen before. Same effect, same solution...

My first car, I used to have it stall out now and then (I'd have to adjust the idle), so I've experienced the sudden loss of power steering and power brakes...though I imagine this car is much heavier than a 1984 Chrysler Laser.

If I can blow the power steering (power steering pump also provides brake boost) on my Silverado with 40s and lose the serpentine belt on a Dodge diesel and get them pulled over, nearly anybody should be able to get a Camaro to the side of the road.

I bet the Camaro stops faster than both of those with no booster.

I love mine, best mod for the price you , 5 mins to install, I keep on SP5, unless I am driving in the highway, and I get taunted by a worthy car, then quick 4 clicks to SP9

I have mine set to SP9 and leave it there. It is easily controllable at this setting and I have sort of gotten used to it, but when I first installed the controller the difference in the responsiveness of the car was pretty awesome. My car is not a daily driver, I live in Florida and don't have to worry much about ice and also don't drive in the rain much. It could be tricky in those conditions.
