Of course the high today is 37 so I'm stuck at the house with the summer only Goodyears.

I wanted the Michelin Pilot Sport All Seasons for my SS, but they could only get them readily in the speed rating lower. Not that I'm planning on going 180 or anything just felt odd to get a lower speed rating than OE. Ended up with the Continentals.

What sucks is my Goodyears are still in pretty good shape but I don't want to take a risk in this cold weather with them. I don't expect the Michelins to be as good at the track and they're $600 a set more though they are rated for 40k miles.

Just switch back and forth then. Save the all seasons for winter. That's my plan for the SS. I just didn't want winter tires for noise, ride and handling. A balanced choice IMO.

So GM is using the Detroit show to appeal to the greenies while Ford is bringing the higher performance GT350, Raptor and possibly a new GT.

Yeah, that fits in with California more. "So far" I've been impressed with the Shelby, however I'm just too much of a Camaro/Corvette guy to buy one.

I'm sure the GT350 will be a very capable car. I have owned all Chevy's but I don't count out the Mustang. I have driven a BOSS 302 and really liked it. If Chevy didn't build the 1LE, I would have tried to get a BOSS.

I just don't get using the prime time show to reveal the Volt and Bolt when they have the 6th gen Camaro to be revealed.

It must be as #3 has said it's not ready yet.

If that's true, that worries me.

What's to worry about?

When they show has zip to do with production. Just start your calendar from the first spy photos and overlay that with the C7. Guess it will be about the same.

But with Buick kicking butt it's already a good show for GM.

Fair enough but looking back for C7 spy shots, its about 1.5 years from first spy shots until production. If I'm right, that put's at still more than a year away from the 6th gen starting production.

The more I look at the spy photos the more the sides of the 6Gen looks like a ATS Coupe. A lot more...too much actually. Hmmm

Wasn't it mentioned (by someone in position) that they want to keep the coke-bottle shape cause it denotes the Camaro.

Ford didn't mess around this morning. The GT and GT350R are damn impressive.
