Finally found the car of my dreams...but interior color...can it be swapped?

Hey all, just found 2ss black auto which is what I have been looking for but the interior is beige. Looks ok but I rather have black on black. The dealer tells me not to let it be a deal breaker! I'm supposed to sign on the car today but just want to make sure. I can buy the seat covers that swap right out....is this true??

Just order a black on black from that dealer. Or tell them to give you a discount if they want to sell that particular car. Remember to not pay over MSRP.

You can buy seat covers, but what about the rest of the interior...it'll still be beige

why not just look further from your home, I'm sure there is a black/black auto 2ss available within a few hours driving time, which would be cheaper than buying covers.

Right now around me there are at least 5 black/black 2ss autos on lots for sale. My girlfriends grandfather just bought the exact combination last Thursday, black/black 2ss, auto, sunroof and polished 20's

If it has the wrong interior then its not the car of your dreams. I agree, Ask for $500.00 under MSRP or walk. Remember, there are lots of Camaros at dealers now waiting for customers. No matter what its always a buyers market in the long run.

also i can be patient but man I've been waiting forever now and the wait time on an order is at least 4 months around here. The camaros around these parst are being sold BEFORE they even reach the lots after being ordered

They can't be just swapped out at the dealer. Going from beige interior to black will require a complete re-installation of the interior (carpet, headliner, dash, rear seats and panels, rear deck) and will cost thousands. Unless you plan on doing a custom interior anyway like what you can buy from DSV Customs, I would walk away from the car.

Yeah, it can be done, it'll just take forever and cost you a ton of money...

You have to be happy with your purchase, think about tomorrow, get what you want.

LOL... salesmen say a LOT of things. When I was shopping for a used 98 or 99 Firebird, one dealer didn't have one but the salesman desperately tried to unload their 95 Infiniti J30 because "they look a lot alike."

If you do not get what you want you will never be happy with the car and this famous statement will always come out of your mouth "What I really wanted was........but settled for......" and the payment comes every month for something you really didn't want. JMHO
