Picked up my 2LT/RS/Auto today as well and I love it. I fairly short so 5'6'' is a height in which I need to raise my seat all the wayy up almost and I lean a little so I recline it back. I also lean because I like my chest to be a decent distance from the steering wheel incase of an accident I don't get punched in the face or jabbed in the chest. The glovebox light bothers me too but hey they put ambient light so who cares, I'll buy a nice LED flash light, haha. My younger sister was also complaining that she couldn't enjoy the view of the road and sometime she can be a passenger driver and yell about how fast I drive or to watch out for this or that, so it may be for the better. Locking gas cap is only asking for attention to be honest and it locks into place when you lock your door anyway.

Thank GOD I'm not the only fuddy duddy on here. I was just about to say the same thing.

For the most part, there is no general weight requirement. The main thing is the belt needs to fit the child the right way...Which probably isn't the case if they can fit 3 pillows under her.

Hi Chapinville

In NY, where I live, children under the age of 14 are NOT allowed in the front seat...also, what about the front passenger air bag...children sitting in the front seat in a crash where the passenger airbag has deployed have been killed...:(

Not trying to tell you what to do, but I just fear for your very young daughter's safety riding in the front with you...I care...

I bet the owner's manual has something to say about the proper weight for front seat passengers...please check it out...

Just trying to look out for all Camaro fans and their passengers..........

The average height of a 14 year old is 5' 3" in America. I know plenty of women at that height or under, so I guess they should drive in the back seat

But seriously, did anybody check to see if there is a way to disable the passenger airbag in the Camaro? I think all cars with only 2 seats have a key to disable the airbags, some pickup trucks like mine with a limited rear seating row also have the key. Disabling the airbag is supposedly safer for childeren and babies in booster/child seats.

I thought there was weight sensor on the passenger seat which turned the airbag on when someone sat down (providing they hit the weight requirement)

It seems that alot of you people order cars without doing a inventory of the cars features. With all due respect from what I have seen with alot of n.y. drivers here in Canada, safety is the last thing on their mind!!!!Maybe features on the U.S. models are different than here in Canada, but there is a weight sensor in the front passenger seat for the airbag, all the Camaro's in Canada are 4 seaters, so put your young child back there if your Camaro has one.And yes like one member said, this is a sports car not a Caddy,it will not handle like a Vette, because it is not in the same class, it will not have the same options or comfort features of 80,000 dollar touring car because it isn't one, and finally, read your manual,it may save someone's life, pillows belong on a bed not under a child in a car. IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!

im waiting for them to make a new section on this site, we can call it, "i wish...", or "what if..." all of these complaints have been brought up time and time again, but one thing every one agrees on is that they love the car even though they wish they dont like everything about it, thats the sign of great car.

How can you do that? Is there after market stuff you can add to the factory seat? If so, please share.

Well, I was under the impression that the passenger seat height was adjustable when i ordered. My owners manual confirms that the passenger seat height is "manually" adjustable......but my impression was wrong and my owners manual is wrong. Not a deal breaker, but my wife sure would like to raise that seat a couple of inches so she doesn't have to sit on a pillow to comfortably see out over the dash.

Second - No light in the glove box or under the hood. For a $39k car that has options like auto dimming, heated mirrors and indexing windows; not sure why GM left out $10 worth of lights.

Third - No locking gas cap door. Premium gas is expensive!

Fourth - My head hits the ceiling on my sunroof optioned Camaro. I am 6' and with the seat all the way down and reclined way back my head stll rubs the ceiling. If the sunroof extended 6" farther to the side I would have plenty of head room

All things considered, having only a four item wish list on a new model vehicle is pretty impressive. I love my Camaro!
Addressing:

--The Gen 4 didn't either, at least not the one I owned. At least you can LOCK the glove compartment. Damn, my Cobalt SS/SC doesn't even have a lock, let alone a light.

Third - No locking gas cap door. Premium gas is expensive!

--LOL! Why are you putting premium gas in the car? It has no boosted application. It's cleaner, but it's a waste to throw it in every time. 91 octane is perfectly fine. Didn't I address this before? is your best friend.

Fourth - My head hits the ceiling on my sunroof optioned Camaro. I am 6' and with the seat all the way down and reclined way back my head stll rubs the ceiling. If the sunroof extended 6" farther to the side I would have plenty of head room

--Well, this I agree with with. I'm 5'11", and my flat top crew cut does touch the roof.
