Thanks I may have to purchase one.

one question

I am about to pull the trigger on this. One question.

Does it make the car (in my case 1LE) harder to drive with the clutch and all that?

Jim

No shit! That will keep me from buying one! Half way to a tune and you can do the same thing and get more power out of it

It was an error as the poster already said, his tablet forgot a 1. It's always been same price after launch.

And about the tune, VTC you can unplug easy for service and no track to be found by the dealer. With a tune this is different...
And point 2 for people like me in Europe, this is plug and play, as we don't have tuners/dyno's on every corner.

It works on its own.

Here is my setup to put it in my car where the hud controls normally go.
I took some 3/16" thick plexiglass and cut it out the size of the control box. I then made a groove it it for the wire to lay in so it will exit on the left side. I then mounted 3 rare earth magnents into the bacside of the plexyglass. I took a piece of sheet metal and cut it out to fit the recess in the dash. I put two sided tape on the plexiglass and mounted the controller on it. And two sided tape on the sheet metal to attach it to the dash. I covered the exposed part with flat black vinyl.
I will have to wait until it warms up some before putting this all in the car.

Would love to get this mod, but is there any engine/transmission damage going on behind the scenes that's going to rise it's ugly head 2 years down the road?

My tablet sometimes does not pick up all my entries. Its also bad for changing words I don't want it to change. I corrected my original post.
Anyway a tune will definitely void your warranty. This is removable and will not void your warranty.

I think I might actually be getting slightly better MPG.

For instance, when I'm doing a speedy right turn onto a highway from a rolling stop, it used to be like this: Drop the gas pedal about 50% to overshoot the slow-to-react sub 1,500k RPM power, delay for downshift, then a kick of power where I end up at a higher than necessary RPM, lift off the throttle, then a noticeably firm shift back to the appropriate cruising gear.

Now, my throttle kicks in at just under 2k RPM, it is a perfectly smooth acceleration up to above 3k RPM...which I think is approaching quicker. On the occasions where it downshifts for acceleration, there isn't as much of a drop in momentum between gears.

All in all (at least on the SP5 setting), my Camaro drives generally better. More control over my throttle application, allowing me to keep my RPMs more steady and actually get about 1MPG better overall.

This question got past over but just wondering, if throttle becomes too sensitive and harder to drive clutch car.
